This sophisticated reading lamp draws a mere five watts of energy and delivers an intense, warm and pleasing light for an average duration of some 50,000 hours (2,000 hours is the average for a normal halogen bulb). Adding to the energy-efficient capabilities, the Mix Task Lamp by Alberto Meda uses LED chip-on-board technology that gives the user the ability to adjust the color of the light from warm to cool by sliding a screen located on the underside of the head. When the lamp is switched off, the profile of the lamp head is illuminated with a blue light, making it easy to find in the dark. Adding to the sleek look is a flexible aluminum stem that extends from the satisfying S-curve base and provides the utility of directing the light where needed.
